Walter Wolf Racing
Won its first race; championship runner-up in 1977.
Austrian-Canadian oil equipment magnate Walter Wolf, having run Wolf-Williams in 1976, restructured for 1977 with Peter Warr as manager, Harvey Postlethwaite designing and Jody Scheckter driving.
Scheckter won the first race of 1977 in Argentina, then Monaco and Mosport, and finished second in the drivers' championship in the team's first season. It remains the last new constructor to win its debut Grand Prix.
Scheckter left for Ferrari in 1979 and results collapsed. Wolf lost interest and merged the team into Fittipaldi Automotive at the end of 1979.
