Cadillac F1 Team
GM works entry; Ferrari customer engines pending Cadillac power units.
An agreement in principle was reached in November 2024 for a GM-led Cadillac entry from 2026, with TWG Motorsports operating the team from Fishers, Indiana and Silverstone.
The team starts with customer Ferrari power units while GM develops its own for the end of the decade, and signed Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas as its debut driver pairing.
Andretti Global entry bid
FIA-approved application rejected by the commercial rights holder.
Michael Andretti's Andretti Global applied for an eleventh entry, backed by General Motors as a power-unit partner. The FIA approved the application on sporting grounds in October 2023, but Formula One Management rejected it in January 2024, arguing it would not add value.
The bid was restructured with GM taking the lead and Michael Andretti stepping back from the leadership role.
