Lineage
The Long Version
Jack Brabham won the 1966 title in a Brabham-Repco, a feat no driver has repeated.
Ecclestone bought the team in 1971 and hired Gordon Murray, whose BT46B 'fan car' won its only race.
Nelson Piquet took drivers' titles in 1981 and 1983, the latter the first for a turbo car.
The team faded through the late 1980s and disappeared during 1992.
