The Long Version
Tony Vandervell built the car to prove his Thinwall bearings and to end Italian dominance.
Chapman and Costin gave the 1957 car its aerodynamic body and space-frame chassis.
Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks won six races in 1958, taking the inaugural constructors' title.
Vandervell's health collapsed and the team effectively withdrew after 1958.
