The Long Version
Jordan Grand Prix entered in 1991, gave Michael Schumacher his debut at Spa and won four races, finishing third in 1999.
Alex Shnaider's Midland group bought the team in 2005; the Dutch sports-car maker Spyker took over for a single 2007 season.
Vijay Mallya's Force India punched far above its budget, taking a pole at Spa in 2009 and fourth in the championship in 2016 and 2017.
Administration in 2018 led to Lawrence Stroll's consortium taking over as Racing Point, then rebranding to Aston Martin for 2021 with a new Silverstone factory.
