Scuderia Ferrari is the control sample for every other story in this archive. Where other teams were bought, renamed, rescued and rebadged, Ferrari has raced under one name, from one factory, since the World Championship began at Silverstone in 1950.
That continuity is why Ferrari — not Aston Martin, not Mercedes — is the longest lineage on the grid. There is no chain to trace, because the chain has exactly one link.

Scuderia Ferrari
Unbroken entry. No rebrand, no sale, no change of base.
Enzo Ferrari founded the Scuderia in 1929 as a racing arm for Alfa Romeo customers, and built his own cars from 1947. When the World Championship was created in 1950, Ferrari entered — missing only the opening round at Silverstone — and has entered every championship season since.
The Scuderia's first title came with Alberto Ascari in 1952 and 1953. It has since taken drivers' championships with Fangio, Hawthorn, Phil Hill, Surtees, Lauda, Scheckter, Schumacher and Räikkönen, and a run of constructors' titles that no rival has matched.
Ownership has changed shape — Fiat took a controlling stake in 1969, and Ferrari N.V. was spun out and listed in 2015 — but the entrant name on the F1 entry list never has. Maranello is still the address, and the team is still called Scuderia Ferrari.
