Walter Wolf bought into Frank Williams's team in 1976, then started afresh with Harvey Postlethwaite's WR1.
Jody Scheckter won in Argentina on debut in 1977 and took two more victories that year.
Scheckter was second in the 1977 drivers' championship behind Niki Lauda.
Form collapsed with the ground-effect era and Wolf's assets were absorbed by Fittipaldi after 1979.
