Lineage
The Long Version
Toyota spent a year testing before entering in 2002 and scored a point on debut in Melbourne.
Fourth in the 2005 constructors' championship, with five podiums, was its best return.
The 2009 car was quick enough to lead races but the team never converted a pole into a win.
Toyota withdrew in November 2009; the Cologne facility now runs its sports-car programme.
