Lord Hesketh ran James Hunt in a customer March in 1973, finishing second at Watkins Glen.
Harvey Postlethwaite designed the team's own 308, unusually sophisticated for a private entry.
Hunt beat Niki Lauda to win the 1975 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
The money ran out that winter; Hunt left for McLaren and the team faded away by 1978.
