The Long Version

Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari in 1929 as a racing stable for Alfa Romeo customers, becoming a constructor in its own right after the war.

Ferrari took its first title with Alberto Ascari in 1952-53, then defined the 1970s with Niki Lauda and the 312T.

The Todt-Brawn-Byrne-Schumacher era from 2000 to 2004 delivered five consecutive drivers' championships and six constructors' titles.

Since 2008 the team has chased Renault, Red Bull and Mercedes through three rule cycles without a drivers' crown.
